The readers of the Portimão Municipal Library, through the Intermunicipal Network of Public Libraries of the Algarve (BIBAL), have free access to more than 7000 publications online.

This service can be used through the PressReader digital platform and the user should log into their account in the online catalogue of the Portimão Municipal Library, at www.bmmtgomes.pt.

The platform provides direct and full access to periodicals from more than 150 countries, in six dozen languages.

By joining this initiative, the Municipality of Portimão universalises and democratises access to information and knowledge and encourages easy and free reading, within the scope of the mission of public libraries.
