The Local Fund brings together all types of documentation and publications relating to a particular locality, such as the Regional of a region, in this case, Portimão and the Algarve.

It includes documents on the history, politics, economy, society, institutions, religious life, associative and union activities, culture and sports, arts and literature, personalities, etc., of a certain community and also on the geography, geology, fauna and flora of the region in which it is located.
