BATHING SEASON 2020 | Portimão

The bathing season officially opens on June 6, 2020 and the beaches of the municipality are prepared to receive holiday makers with all the security.

Were defined by the– The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) has produced a set of procedures to be taken into account in the use of beaches, for everyone to be able to go to the beach safely and not jeopardise the strategy adopted to control the pandemic.
 
IN PORTIMÃO THE BEACHES ARE OPEN AND THE MEASURES ARE IN PLACE!

WHEN GOING TO THE BEACH WE RECOMMEND:
Before going to the beach: You should check the status of nearby beaches, by consulting the InfoPraia app and look for those with a lower level of occupancy, marked in green, as well as patrolled beaches and with water quality control. Install the app and have up-to-date and real-time information on the state of occupancy of the beaches and water quality assessment.

ON ACCESS TO THE BEACH:
. Use a mask in the access areas (mandatory indoors);
. Mandatory use of footwear;
. Circle to the right in common spaces and in the circulation corridors;
. Maintain physical distance of 1.5 meters, avoiding stops at the accesses;
. Comply with respiratory etiquette measures;
. Wash and disinfect hands regularly.

ON THE BEACH:
. Circle on the right and maintain a physical distance of 1.5 meters between bathers from different groups;
. Keep the distance of 3 metres between parasols of different groups;
. Keep the distance of 1.5 meters between bathers of different groups, both on the sand and in the sea;
. Comply with respiratory etiquette measures;
. Sporting activities involving two or more people are not permitted;
. In sanitary facilities you should wear a mask and footwear, disinfect your hands and keep the distance safe.

ON LEAVING THE BEACH:
. Do not leave rubbish or cigarette buts on the beach, they must be packed away and placed in the respective containers (masks and gloves are always deposited in undifferentiated garbage containers).
